Prior to joining ERA, Philip ran his own very successful consulting business specialising in increasing the value and efficiency of large businesses by documenting and improving their business processes and systems. Working closely with senior management and staff he was able to lead, facilitate and implement the respective process and technology changes. He is able to bring clarity from chaos, communicate the complex and professionally implement continuous improvements.

He has provided thought leadership on improving IT service management, business process re-engineering and project management across several organisations encompassing the telco, retail, local government, IT, crown entity, manufacturing, aviation and military sectors.

Specific contract engagements have included NZTA, Farmers Trading Company, Heartland Bank, Hirepool, Orion Health, Auckland Transport, Honeywell Pacific, Royal New Zealand Navy, Fonterra and Air New Zealand.

He has an NZIM Certificate in Management, PRINCE2 Project Management Certification, ITIL Certification and a Bachelor of Arts (literature and Philosophy).

Outside of work he is involved in volunteer work and enjoys family adventures, woodworking, landscaping and studying history.
